Artisans have been producing beautiful carvings from Sonoran Desert ironwood for centuries. One of nature's wonders, desert ironwood gets its name from its amazing hardness and weight similar to petrified wood. Though very difficult to cut, each of these pieces is meticulously carved and etched to reveal incredible detail. They are then sanded and polished to bring out the rich, dark quality of the wood. The end result is an amazingly smooth hard finish with no laquer or varnish! Crafted in Sonora, Mexico especially for Sunland Home.
