Payment for Order Whose Original Payment Authorization has Expired
Here you can make a new payment for an order that is ready to ship, but whose original payment authorization is more than 30 days old and has expired. Type your original order number in the space provided and the grand total amount (see the email or support ticket sent to you by Sunland Home Decor Customer Service).
You will not be charged twice. This is not an additional charge, but will replace your original payment authorization that has expired. See below for more explanation.
Explanation of Pre-authorization Charges
What is a pre-authorization charge for an online order?
When you place an online order, SunlandHomeDecor.com contacts your payment method's issuing bank to confirm the validity of the payment method. Your bank reserves the funds until the entire transaction processes or the authorization expires, but this is not an actual charge. These payment authorizations expire generally after 30 days.
Your credit card is charged once your order has shipped. And, because some cutom items take longer than 30 days to produce, an authorization may expire before your credit card is charged. This also may be the case if there is an expected lengthy delay in filling your order.
Rest assured that your payment method will not be charged more than once. The original authorization will be removed from your account according to the policies of your bank. To remove an authorization manually, contact your bank to clarify how long they hold authorizations for online orders.
