The short answer is yes. This art piece is rusted and then clear coated to protect it from the elements. If displayed outdoors under the protection of a covered patio, eave or overhang, it will keep its original finish for many years. However, if it is exposed directly to sun, wind, and rain, the clear coat will wear off and the piece will weather gracefully over time.
